Retiro da Paz / Retreat of Peace
O projeto é uma contribuição do CCVP para a disseminação da Cultura de Paz, movimento criado pela ONU em 2000. O enfoque deste projeto é ser uma oportunidade de levar novos valores, principalmente os que promovam a paz, para as crianças e adolescentes que frequentam o projeto. A programação conta com momentos de celebração, de meditação, orações, yoga, oficinas de pintura e argila, dança, brincadeiras e a alegria de estarem juntos em volta da mesa fazendo a partilha da vida. O local de realização do Retiro da Paz é o Sítio dos Anjos localizado na cidade de Ribeiro Pires, numa linda região de mata nativa.
This project of the CCVP wants to distribute ‘Cultura de Paz’ (culture of peace), a movement created by the UN in the year 2000. The approach of this project is to create opportunities to bring new values, in the first place values which promote peace, to the children and teenagers participating in the project. The program includes moments of celebration, meditation, prayer, yoga, painting and ceramic workshops, dance, games and the joy of being together around the table to share life. The Retreat of Peace takes place at Sítio dos Anjos located in the city of Ribeiro Pires, in a beautiful and authentic forest area.
Ponto de Cultura “Construindo pontes com a cultura” / Culture Point “Building bridges with culture”
Este projeto em parceria com a prefeitura da cidade de São Paulo, visa capacitar crianças e adolescentes da favela Vila Prudente e levá-las para os espaços públicos, para mostrarem a sua capacidade de fazedores de cultura através da arte, desenvolvendo assim a cidadania e a promoção da inclusão sociocultural. O produto final deste projeto constará de um espetáculo produzido a partir do entrosamento de todas as oficinas que ocupam o quadro das atividades do CCVP que numa data posterior estará sendo apresentado em locais públicos da cidade de São Paulo.
The purpose of this project in cooperation with the municipality of the city of São Paulo, is to empower the children and teenagers of the favela of Vila Prudente. By giving them the opportunity to show their capacity of making cultural activities through art, and thereby involving them as citizens, the project keeps children and teenagers away from the streets. Further the project wants to promote the sociocultural participation by building bridges between this community and the bigger society through culture. The final goal of this project will consist of a show, where all workshops and activities organized by the CCVP will be presented. On the day of this show all disciplines will be performed in different public places in the city of São Paulo.
Projeto de Arte Sacra / Project of Sacred Art
Este projeto nasceu impulsionado pela tradição do trabalho da oficina de mosaicos do Centro Cultural Vila Prudente (CCVP), iniciado em 1998, com as crianças e adolescentes. Do trabalho singelo de colocação de teselas (caquinhos) nas paredes dos prédios do CCVP, aos poucos, fomos aprofundando essa arte milenar de ornamentar os espaços com pedaços de azulejos e pastilhas, presente nas mais diversas culturas de todo o mundo. A arte tem o poder de tudo transformar. Com esse projeto almejamos uma contribuição com a cultura da paz elaborando produtos que divulguem valores cristãos e promovam entre os participantes novos vínculos de relacionamentos onde a Paz e o Belo sejam referenciais para um mundo novo.
This Project grew from the tradition of the mosaic workshop of the Cultural Center Vila Prudente (CCVP), initiated in 1998, together with children and teenagers: not only simple work of coloured tiles on the walls of the buildings of the CCVP, but also, fewer, who have specialised in this millennia-old art discipline of decorating spaces with pieces of tiles and little stones, present in the most diverse cultures all over the world. In the art lies the power to change all. With this project we want to contribute to the series of products made by ‘cultura de paz’ that spread Christian values and to build relational ties between the new participants where peace and beauty are benchmarks of a new world.

Sala de exposição de artes para a valorização do artista e sua obra. A exposição estreante foi “Favela: Olhar sem condenar”, em 2008, do artista plástico Marcos Pereira, natural da comunidade de Vila Prudente e professor de artes no CCVP. Marcos voltou a expor na galeria em outubro de 2009 com o trabalho “Brincadeiras à luz e sombra” retratando o brincar das crianças na comunidade. Em novembro de 2009 a artista Valéria Francini fez memória da sua caminhada na instituição como professora de artes com a exposição “Valéria Francini: Memórias”. Em dezembro de 2009 a galeria abriu a exposição “Com que bicho eu vou” reunindo trabalhos das crianças ao longo do ano sob a orientação da professora e artista Maria de Jesus Campos Souza. Em novembro de 2013 a galeria abriu a exposição “Sacrosantum: Arte Sacra” reunindo trabalhos dos jovens participantes do projeto de Arte Sacra. Na ausência de exposição na galeria, obras de acervo do CCVP ficam expostas para visitação permanente. A galeria leva o nome do nosso fundador Pe. Patrick Clarke.
The art gallery increases the appreciation of the artist and his work. The opening exhibition was “Favela: Look without prejudice”, in 2008, of the visual artist Marcos Pereira, born in the community of vila Prudente and art teacher in the CCVP. Marcos returned to our gallery in October 2009 to exhibit his work “Games of light and shadow” portraying playing children in our community. In November 2009 the artist Valéria Francini looked back at her career as an art teacher at our institution with the art exhibition “Valéria Francini: Memories”. In December 2009 the gallery opened the exhibition “Com que bicho eu vou” bringing together artwork made by the children in the last year under the guide of our teacher and artist Maria de Jesus Campos Souza. In November 2013 the gallery opened the exhibition “Sacrosantum: Sacred art” combining the work of teenagers participating in the project of Sacred Art. Whenever there is no temporary exhibition, a selection of artwork of the CCVP collection is shown in the permanent exhibition. The art gallery was named after the founder of the CCVP Patrick Clark.
